The Power of Intentional Marketing Photos

A few months ago, Bethany Golden, owner of Health Keys Water Purification & Softening, reached out about updating her marketing photos. After a discovery call, we scheduled an in-person consultation to talk through everything she wanted to communicate and build a plan for the shoot.
Beyond traditional headshots, Bethany wanted to highlight her products, showcase her water sommelier expertise, and capture what her in-home consultations actually look like for residential clients. But she had no idea how to capture all of that in photos. That is where we come in. We got to work building a shot list and planning the shoot.
The headshots included a meaningful nod to the company's founder—her father, Captain Lance W. Orton. Look closely and you'll spot some of his military and sailing details: a (very heavy!) ship's bell and shoulder boards.
The consultation experience was brought to life by setting up the shoot in a model home with an assistant playing the role of a client. We captured close-up images of the testing equipment so Bethany can walk future clients through exactly what Health Keys tests for during a visit.
Her water sommelier expertise got its own dedicated setup—a variety of water bottles, wine glasses, and a wardrobe change to visually communicate that specialized knowledge.
Product photography rounded out the shoot. With a range of water softening systems to feature, we went with a casual t-shirt and jeans look to keep the focus on the products and what each one does.
In the end, we delivered 50+ images ready to use across print, digital, social, and web.
