Maureen O’Shay Photography Honored with Katy Business Association “Business of the Year” Award!

Wow—what an incredible way to wrap up 2024! I am beyond honored that Maureen O’Shay Photography was recognized by the Katy Business Association in December. Receiving this award is not just a win for my business but a heartfelt moment of gratitude for the amazing community that has welcomed and supported me!

For the past year, I’ve had the privilege of being part of the Katy Business Association (KBA) and The Katy Area Chamber, and since August, I’ve served as an Katy Area Chamber Ambassador—connecting with fellow business owners, lifting up local entrepreneurs, and championing the spirit of small business in our area. From networking events to community initiatives, KBA has been such a fantastic organization to be involved with, and I’ve loved every second of it.

Standing up there, accepting this award, was a full-circle moment. When I first joined these two organizations (which recently joined to be ONE stronger organization) I was looking for a way to connect with other business owners, build relationships, and support the Katy community in a meaningful way. What I found was so much more—mentors, friendships, and a strong network of people who truly want to see each other succeed.

I want to extend a huge thank you to the Katy Business Association, my fellow members, my incredible clients, and this amazing community for your support, encouragement, and trust in me. Photography is more than just capturing images—it’s about telling stories, preserving memories, and showcasing the heart of the people I work with. And being recognized for that means the world.

I’m excited to continue serving as an Katy Area Chamber Ambassador, growing with the new KBA - now known as the Katy Business Alliance, and giving back to the community that has given me so much. Here’s to an incredible 2025, filled with new opportunities, partnerships, and, of course, beautiful photos!
