We were thrilled to have Tiffany in the studio for her branding session! Tiffany is not only an incredible entrepreneur who has started her own tutoring business, focusing on SAT prep and college essay assistance, but she's also a mom of FIVE! Talk about a superwoman!
When Tiffany reached out to me, she had a clear vision of how she wanted to be portrayed in her photos—professional, engaging, welcoming, and studious. We took these adjectives and crafted a session that brought her story and personality to life through every shot.
Setting the Stage for Success
To capture the essence of her business, we set up three distinct areas for Tiffany’s shoot:
The Desk Area: This scene was all about creating a workspace that reflected Tiffany’s expertise and professionalism. With her tutoring background, we wanted this setup to feel like a place where students could envision Tiffany connecting with them. We used natural lighting to keep things bright and airy, and carefully arranged educational props to create an environment that was both serious and approachable. The desk was filled with books, notebooks, and a sleek laptop to showcase her studious and organized vibe.
Headshot Area: The classic headshot is a must for any branding session! For Tiffany, we chose a clean and simple backdrop that allowed her personality to take center stage. The focus was entirely on her—her warm smile and approachable demeanor. These headshots are the perfect way to introduce her to potential clients, giving them a glimpse of her friendly yet professional persona. Plus, the styling choices she made, with a few different outfit changes, really helped bring variety and depth to her headshot gallery.
The Cozy Couch Area: To add a welcoming and relaxed touch, we incorporated a “cozy” corner complete with a comfy couch. This part of the shoot allowed Tiffany to showcase a more casual and inviting side of her business. It’s the perfect space where you could imagine a student (or even a parent) having a relaxed, insightful conversation about their academic journey. The softer lighting and natural poses here brought out her nurturing side as a tutor and a mom, creating a balance between professionalism and comfort.
The Support System
One of the things that made this session extra special was the presence of Tiffany’s husband. He was so supportive throughout the entire shoot, cheering her on from behind the scenes and helping to carry bags and props between setups. Having a strong support system is everything when running a business, and you could really feel the love and encouragement in the room.
And let’s not forget the real MVP of the day: Andrea from Faceforward! She worked her magic on Tiffany’s hair and makeup, giving her a polished yet natural look that stayed flawless through every scene. Andrea is incredible at enhancing each client's unique beauty while keeping the style true to their personality. Tiffany’s hair was styled perfectly for both the more structured and relaxed shots, and the makeup gave her a soft glow that really popped on camera.
A Mom on a Mission
What makes Tiffany’s story even more inspiring is the fact that she’s not only running a successful business but also raising five kids! Her energy and determination are contagious, and her passion for helping students reach their full potential shines through in everything she does. It was such a joy to work with her and bring her brand to life in these photos.
The Final Result
By the end of the session, we had a collection of images that truly captured the essence of Tiffany and her business. From the professional desk setup to the warm, cozy couch area, each shot conveyed exactly how she wants her clients to see her: professional, engaging, welcoming, and studious.
